There's always something special about the experience of watching thousands of tons of steel rumble by on a railroad line. On a beautiful December day in 2024, not only did the sky have something particular to offer, too - a rare halo - but CSX send a couple trains out on the Abbeville Sub during daylight. In the beginning of the video, local trains L757 and L823 make their appearances in Hull and Athens. Then the highlight filmed at multiple locations between Statham and Comer, including the iconic curve shot at Howie Siding: Rerouted ethanol train B633 with BNSF and CPKC ET44s in the lead and an awesome looking BNSF Dash 9 in H1 paint scheme at the rear. We also see autorack train M281 with a few mixed-freight cars in Colbert and, eventually, loaded coal train C319 in Hull. Enjoy watching these trains!
