You don't need a new rod, you need casting lessons and a lot of practice in the grass my friend. However....you absolutely do need a new Fly Line to get into streamer fishing. Your "All Purpose" general line, will not cut it! The rod just throws the line...some better, some worse, but that's it. The Line is what has to deal with the "baggage" of water weight and wind resistance and turn it over 1ft from the bank! Rio's Elite Predator is the way to go!
