'The Bjørnstad Ship is a well-known rock carving and is unique of its kind. It consists of one large and two smaller ship carvings. Among the motifs of Bronze Age rock art (c. 1000 BC), images of ships are a prominent figure type found in several variants. The Bjørnstad Ship is monumental on its vertical rock face. The large carving measures approximately 4 × 1.5 metres and is probably Northern Europe’s largest ship carving. The two small figures are about one metre long.'
