USPs

1. A-class cab design. TLarge panoramic windscreen and a continuous living-space design.

2. Rear single beds plus a drop-down bed. Four people can sleep without converting the main lounge every evening.

3. Double-floor storage. The 22 cm double floor incorporates a storage compartment approximately 46 cm high.

4. Winter-use potential. The double floor, insulated body construction and Truma Combi heating system are intended to support comfortable use in colder conditions. Actual winter performance depends on specification, insulation, heating and operating conditions.

5. Large rear garage. The 120 cm internal garage height and wide access doors make it suitable for substantial touring equipment. The manufacturer quotes a garage payload of up to 350 kg in its model information; the permitted load for an individual vehicle must be verified.

6. Premium-class layout in a relatively compact body. At 743 cm in the Fiat version, the I 4.9 LE is shorter than many large integrated luxury motorhomes while retaining separate rear beds, a drop-down bed and a full-height garage.

FIVE COMPETITORS: STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

1. Hymer B-Class MasterLine I 780

A longer body at 789 cm, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base, a 200-litre fresh-water capacity in the published specification and a substantial premium interior. The rear single beds are also longer, at 207 cm and 202 cm.

2. Niesmann+Bischoff iSmove 6.9 E

Strengths: A more compact integrated design at 699.5 cm long and 227.8 cm wide. The pecification includes a 200-litre fresh-water tank in camping mode and a 150 Ah lithium leisure battery as standard. It is worth considering for travellers prioritising compact dimensions and electrical autonomy.

Weaknesses: The rear beds are smaller in width than those of the Carthago, and the overall living and storage space is more restricted. Its 206.5 cm and 197.5 cm rear beds are narrower than the Carthago's 85 cm-wide beds.

3. Frankia F-Line A 740 Plus

A fully integrated motorhome around 750 cm long, offering a large living area and a layout aimed at travellers who want substantial interior accommodation. It provides a useful comparison for buyers who prefer a traditional premium A-class design.

4. Frankia Together I 680

Strengths: A shorter integrated motorhome at 708 cm, with a Fiat Ducato/AL-KO platform, 180 hp diesel engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. Its 320 Ah battery and 4,500 kg maximum authorised mass are notable features.

5. Carthago chic c-line T 4.9 LE

Strengths: It offers a closely related layout with rear single beds, a separate shower, a large garage and a similar premium interior concept. The semi-integrated cab design is a different option for buyers who do not require a fully integrated front end.

Weaknesses: The T version is longer than the I 4.9 LE and does not provide the same fully integrated panoramic cab design.
