There is now a fifth and supposedly final movie in the Takeshi Koike Lupin III Saga, that began as a continuation to the 2012 TV Series "The Woman Called Fujiko Mine" and now ends as a Prequel to the 1978 movie "The Secret of Mamo". Immortal Bloodline is rather thin on story but straight out excellent on animations. It's one of the best-looking Action Anime in recent years and can be a lot of fun when you know what you're getting yourself into. It can also be slightly confusing at times.
As with the movie, this AMV is a sequel to my earlier AMV works "Cold and Bloody", "Blood Oath", "Blood Bee" and "Coldman". I had a Song for a while now that I really wanted to edit either this or last year’s Zenigata movie to, but it didn't work out in both cases. I checked all my archives for good songs but it wasn't until Turbo Killer joined the conversation that I had a clear idea of what to do with Immortal Bloodline. And boy did i enjoy editing it. Lots of fun!
In other news, today exactly 20 years ago I finished my very first AMV (which I never released). Back then it was just a fun experiment to see if the skills i got from editing my sister's wedding video could be used for something else. Needless to say, the hobby stuck with me and I have been editing AMV every year ever since. I had a plan for a couple of years for what to do for this very Anniversary and it was originally going to be another Rammstein AMV. But I changed my plans when I saw that the new Lupin III movie would release on home video around this time. The other AMV is still happening though. Probably later this year or maybe for my 25th AMV Anniversary. Who knows.
As for the future, I have yet to watch the aforementioned Mamo movie that Immortal Bloodline is now a Prequel to, and if I so happen to like it and have an idea, there will probably be an AMV to it at some point. But not this year. With this I have already released 3 AMVs in 2026 and there will probably be another 1-2 more so stick around. Special thanks to JCD, Jorgensen, Noss and Pic4 for beta testing.
