Now, startups are trying to bring them into modern wellness conversations.
That’s what led Nishita to build Hi Shrooms, a startup working with functional mushrooms for mental wellness and chronic health support.
But the idea started much earlier.
Growing up, Nishita watched her mother, known as the Himalayan Queen of Mushrooms, train rural women and create livelihoods through mushroom cultivation.
Today, she’s taking that foundation and building a new-age wellness brand around it.
