"Ye Sons and Daughters (O Filii et Filiae)" is a traditional Easter Hymn commissioned by one of our patrons, Simon Demandante. We hope you enjoy it:)
Interpretation Note:
"Ye Sons and Daughters" is a traditional Easter hymn with corresponding lyrics in Latin. We decided to incorporate some of both. Also, the solemn melody seemed to lend itself quite well to the lighter mode 6 Easter alleluia taken from Vespers of the Easter Vigil, so we made a medley of sorts, something we enjoy doing.
