This time I made what I believe to be the world’s first semi hollow-body concrete guitar in the style of a Gibson ES335, for Rob Scallon. This guitar build challenged my concrete skills, with concrete walls only ⅜” thick. To build this concrete guitar, I used glass-fiber reinforced concrete or GFRC. The concrete form was tricky to make – I used a combination of melamine, 3D printed form parts, and foam to make the guitar mold.
