Out on a winter bushcraft trip to a secluded cave deep in the woods. keeping it simple, I only took the bare minimum with me. I spent most of my time cutting wood, tending the fire and painting on this trip. The sky was pretty dark most of the time, no snow on the first day but it was very cold. I baked a calzone pizza without an oven, just using radiated heat from coals and hot rocks. It took time, patience and constant rotating not to get the pizza burned and properly baked. It was a real delicious treat to munch on that thing by a hot campfire, after a long and freezing painting session. 3 hours later I was passed out on my sleeping bag. A snowstorm kicked in at night, howling winds and snow coming down hard, but not a single flake inside the cave. I kept the fire going all night for extra warmth and cheerful vibes. It was a spectacular experience.
Thanks for watching - Ric
