When we're super busy things that don't have immediate impact are often the first things we begin to ignore. This is true for a lot of people, but for those of us with ADHD, it can tend to happen A LOT. And, unfortunately, ignoring self-care doesn't tend to have an immediate impact.

This is why adding immediate impact can be such a great tool in helping us do those self-care tasks that are important for our survival, our sanity, our relaxation. One of my favourite examples? A friend of mine doesn't allow themselves to use their silk pillowcases if they haven't washed their face. Immediate consequence. Genius, frankly.

Just be careful. Like with a lot of things, we can accidentally overdo it, so add immediate impact mindfully! #short
