Description
Faith in God does not entail worldly detachment; believers must fully participate in the labor of serving creation. Our human effort is required — and believers must also recognize that any outcome of our effort, without exception, is divine mercy. In this commentary, Sharykh Faraz cautions against a detachment that leads to social breakdown and emphasizes that both our toil and its outcomes are from God.
