What happens when you follow your curiosity across the country?
This episode brought us to New York City, a place we've dreamt about, drawn from, and experienced with our own eyes (and feet, lots of walking). From riding city bikes through Brooklyn to listening to jazz in Washington Square Park, this trip reminded us how shared passions like skateboarding, art, and music can connect people in ways words can’t.
We got to spend time with photographer Johanna Siring, who showed us what it looks like to turn genuine human connection into art, one sidewalk encounter at a time. We saw Wicked on Broadway, skated legendary spots, got lost in the rhythm of the subway, and witnessed our kids meet the city in their own creative ways.
This one’s about the magic of simply showing up — with a sketchbook, a camera, a skateboard, or just an open mind. It’s about honoring the interests that pull you toward people, places, and stories you never expected.
