Description
At Saruni Rhino in the Sera Conservancy, thermal imaging technology reveals the hidden world of Northern Kenyaβs wildlife. Captured by filmmaker Toby Strong, this footage features the critically endangered black rhino, as well as elephants, buffalo, hyenas, jackals, and scrub hares. By observing these species under the cloak of darkness without artificial light, we maintain our commitment to non-invasive, community-led conservation and indigenous stewardship.
Through the eyes of the Samburu, the night is never truly still.
This film is part of our "Night Time Series," recorded during Toby Strong's stay at Saruni Rhino. Using advanced thermal cameras, he captured the extraordinary movement of both the great and the small within the Sera Community Conservancy.
