Authorities in the Western Cape are urging water users to remain vigilant and continue to use water sparingly, even though dam levels in the province have been steadily increasing over the last few weeks.
Combined dam levels in the province currently stand at around 79%.
The significant rainfall that the province received during the severe storms earlier in May, contributed significantly to the current dam levels.
But the Province has experienced low rainfall so far during this winter, With forecasts for a hot dry summer next year.
