While fishing in the Philippines, we landed a fish that looked almost identical to a pompano. We were excited at first, but the locals quickly identified it as a butter bream instead!
It was a great reminder that every fishing trip is a chance to learn something new. Different waters are home to different species, and sometimes the fish that look alike are actually completely different.
