The date is 5th January 2026 and we are in the process of returning 6M22 - the Hunslet East (Cross Green) stone train empties back to Tunstead in Derbyshire. The days are short and trip will end near Heaton Norris where we run out of daylight. However, on this fascinating journey on a cracking winter afternoon, we will see much of the westbound TRU progress and talk about the wonderful Standedge Tunnel.
