It's April 2022 and we follow this trip from Dagenham to Bedford via what is known as the GOBLIN (Gospel Oak to Barking Line). Our train of JPA cement tanks has been unloaded and will make its way back to Earle's (Hope) works in Derbyshire. It's a fascinating run around the North London Line at rooftop level on one of the many elevated sections in the country that were built to save crossing dozens of streets on the level. After circumnavigating London, we join the Midland Main Line and have a good run north to Bedford. There's lots to discuss on the way.
