Hello everyone,
Almost at the end of the year 2022, the Vienna VSL brings us again another sampled piano, a masterpiece, the Fazioli F308, which should be the largest piano in the world, in fact, the thing I immediately noticed is the sound of the soundboard with a very large resonance body which matches the size of this piano clearly. This VSL Fazioli F308 piano, like the original, has four pedals, many will wonder what the fourth pedal is for, well, the Fazioli firm probably created this fourth pedal to help the pianist have a soft touch, perhaps even without learning the light touch technique, in fact by pressing the fourth pedal (in the original F308) the keyboard descends slightly and therefore the hammers approach the strings by decreasing the distance, and this creates a very sensitive and warm sound, like a soft touch.
