A dangerous predator with a history of violent behaviour has been sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment.
As a result of the bravery of the victim-survivor, Sergiu Chiriac was convicted of 12 counts including rape, actual bodily harm and coercive behaviour.
Officers worked with her to provide support until she was ready to expose the full extent of Chiriac’s crimes.
Her courage made sure that justice was served.
