It’s So Easy is one of my favorite Valerie Dore tracks, but there are a couple of things about the original that I didn't like. One is the distorted synth bass that plays during the verses, and another is how the vocals sound a bit thin and pushed back in the mix. To be fair, I think the Spotify and some CD versions have pretty poor audio quality for this song. After hearing a high-quality recording from the original vinyl release, I realized the vocals actually sound just fine there.
Regardless, I still wanted to move forward with this new mix — and so I did. Although I made some changes to it, for the most part it stays true to the original. I hope you enjoy this version.
