Ilmarque’s “Circuits of Love” is one of my favorite Spacesynth tracks. In 2017, I made a cover of it using more aggressive synth sounds. I uploaded a demo to social media back then, but never here on YouTube, so I thought now would be a good time.
The music was written by Ilmarque. The vocoder lyrics were written by him and Visi, whom he collaborates with.
When I produced this cover, I didn’t fully understand the vocoder lyrics, so I did my best to guess what it was saying. While I mostly got it right, I was wrong on a few lines. I wanted to go back and fix them, but when I recorded the vocoder part, I used a Korg DVP-1 hardware unit, so it would be pretty hard for me to replicate it again. I also missed the “Cyberlove” part of the lyrics.
