Description
The USS Hornet, the aircraft carrier that recovered the Apollo 11 astronauts, is said to be haunted. The Hornet picked up Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins on July 24, 1969, after serving in World War II and Vietnam. Now a museum ship in California, it's where a volunteer electrician reported hatches banging overnight, the museum's founder reported a Navy officer who climbed down a ladder and vanished, and a paranormal guide said he and his daughter saw a translucent sailor. None of it proves the ship is haunted.
