Welcome to Tundaminous, the original animated Cajun-Creole family sitcom where every generation inherits something... whether it's property, traditions, trauma, or an old family feud.
Summer 2016;
The Tonnerre family heads "down the bayou" to Old Papaw's legendary camp for a weekend of fishing, cooking, bourré, storytelling, and reconnecting with their roots. But in South Louisiana, nothing is ever that simple.
Still furious over a Magnalite pot Old Papaw borrowed years ago and never returned, the swamp mummy Mumroux unleashes his Cajun voodoo to summon a monstrous grosbec and stop Lyoneaux from reaching the family camp. Meanwhile, Chester and Letigre stumble onto a mysterious natural gas well and uncover a forgotten community of swamp mutants living comfortably off mineral rights checks that may rightfully belong to the Tonnerre family.
Along the way, Lyoneaux meets Mr. Robear, a legendary cyborg bear handyman whose latest project—a long-overdue screen porch—sparks another feud with Mumroux, who still hasn't forgiven Robear for abandoning construction on his haunted roadside casino and truck stop, Pyramid Stop. As jealousy boils over, Mumroux summons a supernatural storm that sends Lyoneaux on an unexpected journey into the mysterious bayou of the Crab-People.
Combining authentic South Louisiana culture, Cajun-Creole English and French, supernatural folklore, and irreverent satire, Tundaminous is an animated sitcom about family, community, and everything we pass down from one generation to the next.
New episodes premiere Fridays at 10 PM (CT) on AOC Community Media as part of Mais La TV. Encore broadcasts air Sunday through Thursday on aoc 1 and 2. Check listings on AOC website.
