With the popularity of the old Polaroid 600 film making a huge comeback (as well as other "Instant" products), I decided to try the new 600 film.
Is it any good?
It's okay. It's not as sensitive as the original stock (large drop-off as darker colors are shot), and the development time....well.....when I recorded this, I was banking on this taking the same 3 minutes the original film did......wow....totally not the case here. Now you know why "Instant" was in quotes. Lost a bit or nostalgia on that part.
I will give "Polaroid 2.0" credit, though. They literally had to "Reinvent the Wheel" as how to make this stuff was gone, and lost forever, so the technology in the film making was reverse-engineered, and remade from scratch.
I guess this stuff was far worse in the early 2020s. It's lossy on darker colors the 80s stock could get, and the eons to develop, hope they can get the time down someday.
