Description
Marine Parade-Braddell Heights Town Council has addressed a viral TikTok video taking issue with two cleaners returning bottles and cans via the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS). The person who posted the video asked whether the workers were collecting containers from rubbish bins to earn a "double salary". On Sunday (Nov 1), the town council clarified that the drinks containers came from the workers' own purchases or had been given to them directly by residents. The bottles and cans were also returned after working hours, the town council said. It added that it has reminded workers that rummaging through bins is prohibited and advised them not to wear their uniforms during personal recycling activities. #singapore #sgnews #recycling
