Description
On mortise-and-tenon joints, wipe away extra glue before seating the joint—it can eliminate squeeze-out before it happens. Cut the tip off a straw and use the straw to capture squeeze-out in corners. Remove the rest with warm water, a toothbrush, and a damp rag. On panel glue-ups, use a scraper or putty knife to remove squeeze-out. It’s best to wait until the squeeze-out is just starting to set, is rubbery, and lifts up easily from the wood.
