Following a 1977 screening at Berkeley College, gay underground filmmaker Curt McDowell and actress Marion Eaton answered questions about their 1975 cult classic "Thundercrack!" as well as their personal, little-seen follow-up, 1976's "Sparkle's Tavern." Only audio of this discussion exists, so I compiled a video to accompany it and painstakingly typed out captions to compensate for the low-quality audio. I didn't include any explicit footage, but there is sexual material and discussion... which includes a shaved cucumber and a gorilla! You've been warned!
There's no known copyright on the audio, but most of the footage, photos, and artwork are owned by Melinda McDowell-Milks/The Curt McDowell Estate. Thundercrack! is available on DVD and a Blu-ray that's packed with special features from Synapse Films, and some of Curt's other films are available (with a hefty price tag) from Canyon Cinema.
