Description
Four land defenders, a few animal costumes, and a border wall construction site. What started as protest theater brought heavy machinery to a halt — and ended with arrests.
Near Lochiel, Arizona, protesters dressed as jaguars and birds to spotlight how Trump’s border wall cuts through endangered wildlife habitat. They describe workers laughing, contractors boxing in their truck, and police arriving to arrest them for disorderly conduct.
Status Coup’s Tina-Desiree Berg talks with one of the protesters about using humor to disrupt construction — and spending the night in jail.
