If I was the leader of an alliance of robotic alien races seeking to make first contact with the inhabitants of a newly discovered planet, I could think of better ways to go about it than crashing our only ship into a place known colloquially as "The Deadlands" and proceeding to shoot randomly at the seemingly innocent wildlife. But then I'm not the boss of the Teknos, and the wildlife on Xsarra isn't all that innocent. Cue unholy war.
