Did 9/11 happen as we were told? This video is a montage of short video segments highlighting the disturbing trend of using deception in generating public opinion against an enemy which is real or imagined. Was 9/11 yet another example? Are more to come?
The video includes the Vietnam Gulf of Tonkin event – the second attack of which did not happen, narrated by Walter Cronkite….the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait Baby incubator incident, which was proven false….and a short segment from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s investigative program “The Fifth Estate” documentary “The 1991 Gulf War” on top-secret pentagon pictures purporting to show a “quarter of a million Iraqi troops and 1,500 tanks massed along the boarder with Saudi Arabia”, which a Soviet spy satellite’s pictures taken on the same day showed to be false.
Also included is Donald Rumsfeld’s claim of massive underground bunker fortresses (Tora-Bora) complete with cut-away drawings that the Taliban were using in Afghanistan - and which were never found - “There was no underground bunker systems, no secret tunnels, the fortress didn’t exist” as the short video segment from the BBC documentary “The Power of Nightmares” reports. This sounds eerily similar to the underground bunker system that the “Mother Of All Bombs” was used on recently.
Next is a short montage of the Weapons of Mass Destruction claims by the G.W. Bush administration that propelled the United States and its allies to invade Iraq – but no WMD’s were found. This segment is followed by Senator Dick Durbin of the National Intelligence Committee venting frustration that because the members are sworn to secrecy, he was not allowed to tell the American people that “...the statement made yesterday by the White House is in direct contradiction to classified information that’s being given to this Congress. We can’t do that….And, so in my frustration I sat here on the Floor of the Senate and listened to this heated debate about invading Iraq, thinking the American People are being misled – they’re not being told the truth.”
Last is a short video segment from the BBC documentary “The War Party” on the Project for the New American Century.
