9/11 revisited - Could this neocon agenda be the cause behind the refugee surge affecting Europe? Nation Building through regime change has been the goal of the controversial group The Project for the New American Century. In reference to attaining that goal they wrote, 12-months before 9/11, "...the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.” The very suspicious events of 9/11 provided the "New" Pearl Harbor that allowed for the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.
It was absolutely imperative for George W. Bush to be the next president of the United States by way of the 2000 election if the Project for the New American Century's plans were to get off the ground. The “Project for the New American Century” (PNAC) was established in 1997 and used as its core the ideas expressed in the version of the report by Paul Wolfowitz (then the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy) entitled the “Defense Planning Guidance” dated Feb. 1992, which became known unofficially as the Wolfowitz Doctrine.
The Wolfowitz Doctrine was criticized as being imperialistic because it was a radical plan for American military world domination which emphasized America's use of unilateralism and “pre-emptive wars” on potential threats to America's world dominance and its plan to make America a global “constabulary," unburdened by NATO or World opinion, and drastically increased military spending. It was so controversial when leaked to the press, that Cheney rewrote it, leaving the parts about pre-emptive wars and America acting alone against threats out of the official report officially released in April, 1992.
In September 2000, PNAC published a 90-page report entitled “Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategies, Forces, and Resources For a New Century” which used the Wolfowitz Doctrine with its controversial elements as its core. Section V of this report under the heading “Creating Tomorrows Dominant Force” states “Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.”
Twelve months after the release of the report in September of 2000, the extremely suspicious attacks of 9/11 occurred which were immediately called America's “second” Pearl Harbor by Bush and many Government Officials – that "event" provided the G.W. Bush Administration with the public support needed for invading Iraq. In the years which have followed, America has employed many, if not most, or all, of PNAC's ideas.
Excellent professional 9/11 investigative film (5-hour total) by Massimo Mazzucco examining all aspects of the attacks:
