A24 has a new adult stoner comedy / relationship drama called The Invite. Here's my brief movie review & breakdown (no spoilers)! @A24
The Invite is directed by Olivia Wilde, and it's herself, Seth Rogan, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton, and it follows to completely opposite couples. One couple that doesn't get along and is always at eachothers throats, and the other couple who is very much in love...and also, they happen to be swingers...and they want to swing. The movie is funny, its stressful, it's awkward, and sad. Yet it also teaches important lessons, and has some really tender and heartwarming moments as well. Heartbreaking ones too. It's one of A24's better movies of the year so far. I recommend watching it whether it's in the theater or at home.
