Civil Rights icon and longtime Representative John Lewis died on July 17, 2020, marking the end of a storied career that included participation in the Nashville Sit-Ins and Freedom Rides, leadership of the 1963 March on Washington, and 17 terms in office.
In 2009, filmmaker Stanley Nelson interviewed Lewis for our film FREEDOM RIDERS, where he offered a deeply personal perspective on one of the defining campaigns of the Civil Rights Movement.
