Apologies this is not a professional video at all, it's full of audio hick-ups and glitches, I know that and unfortunately it's not possible to repair. Think though that this is a twenty year old recording by now, recorded 15/05/2004 at Cafe Canapé in Halberstadt / Harz by Andreas.

1. JULY (Slo Burn - Cover)
2. GARDENIA (Kyuss - Cover)
3. GREEN MACHINE (Kyuss - Cover)

I uploaded the last three songs entirely incl. breaks and bloopers because it's interesting really, and although trying for some audio improvement I wanted to let it as original as possible. Because that's how it was back then, the STONERROCK scene was small and rough, it wasn't unusual for a band like THE GREAT ESCAPE (from Aschaffenburg, Southern Germany) to drive hundreds of kilometers to a shitty cafe in Halberstadt (Harz mountains, middle of nowhere) to play for 30 people and after all barely earning gas expenses. And still, I think it was somewhat special for all who've been there including Mr. Matte Vandeven (that BASS player, who shortly afterwards co-founded MY SLEEPING KARMA, and also SOUND OF LIBERATION booking agency) who is now one of the key-players in the scene, organizing the DESERTFEST, STONED FROM THE UNDERGROUND, UP IN SMOKE, KEEP IT LOW and many more events. But these were the humble beginnings: Uwe Lückert on guitar and vocals was pretty iconic back then, one of the very very few people who had an ORANGE amplifier (believe or not: it was nearly impossible to find one in these early days). Matte in his moves and looks still very much inspired from the 90s, and the late Steffen Weigand on drums (RIP). It's feels somewhat crazy to think how long ago this is now, ...

You also see quite a bit of infamous Mr. KOMA K (the slightly over the top guy), he was and still is special too. And for 5 seconds there's even a glimpse of my wrinkle-free face ;) oh guys, I want you to enjoy this, despite the little bloopers, it's just so nostalgic!
