The future of Brutal Fate and VietDoom

On this video I explain the situation with Brutal Fate's development, and the future of VietDoom (now Retrofront: Vietnam) which is going to become a commercial game and my main project from now on.

Originally I had plans of making Retrofront Vietnam after Brutal Fate, but it makes no sense to make a super massive game as my first title, and a simpler game after it. I just acknowledged that Brutal Fate was too big for me to handle it (the design document is over 100 pages long) and I don't want to trim it down because I love the story I created so much, while VietDoom was over halfway finished when I dropped it. The development of Brutal Fate will be lengthy and the game may spend several years on Early Access and I think it will be hard to convince people that I won't drop it like I dropped VietDoom if I don't finish it first.

I wish things could had been different, but unfortunately there are many things in life that are beyond our control, and between 2022 to 2025 my life has been hell. I know some people are angry, I had tens of thousands of wishlist cancelations on Brutal Fate, but it is what it is. Hope you can all understand that I am working with very little resources, and I need to set up realistic expectations for my projects, I need to put out something that can help pay bills, and I need to do it fast.

In the meantime, thanks to everyone who wishlisted Brutal Fate, and all my Patreon supporters.
