In this episode of Rimworld Odyssey, we continue our 500% Randy Random run with the spacefaring Stars of Som. With our sixth gravcore obtained, we soon leave the dangerous Scarlands behind and set out to investigate an infested settlement on the ice sheet. Perhaps due to the cold, the bugs don't offer too much resistance, but we get our hands on a few valuables before flying off again. Our next destination: A crashed mechanoid platform, promising yet another gravcore! We fight our way through room after room of dangerous mechs, until we finally come across an ancient grav engine to obtain the valuable artifact!

The Rimworld Odyssey expansion is here and finally introduces space travel to Rimworld, as players can build their own gravship to explore asteroids, space stations, orbital wrecks, and mech platforms. Rimworld Odyssey also brings us five new and challenging biomes, from the fertile Grasslands and the ominous Glowforest to the dangerous Lava Fields and the toxic Scarlands. The Odyssey expansion also adds a new landmark system with over 45 unique map features like hot springs, chasms, oases, fjords, abandoned facilities and many more! Further additions are a more dynamic terrain and weather system, over 40 new animals and new ways to train them, and a long-awaited fishing mechanic!
In this playthrough of Rimworld Odyssey, we are starting with a modified Naked Brutality scenario, leaving our starting colonist Bryan Burr with no food, items, research or equipment to start her journey – not even clothes. The only thing in our pawn's possession is Heaser, a bio-genetically enhanced colossus toad. The goal of this Rimworld Odyssey challenge is to start with absolutely nothing and survive the dangers of the new Odyssey biomes, beginning with the hostile Scarlands. As always, we play on Randy Random "Losing is fun" difficulty with the threat scale cranked up to 500%.
Rimworld is a Sci-Fi colony builder simulation game focused on managing a small group of survivors with the goal of eventually building a space ship to escape the planet. Rimworld is developed and published by Ludeon Studios. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the game went through several Alpha and Beta versions before seeing the release of the Rimworld 1.0 version in October 2018. This playthrough uses Rimworld 1.6, the latest update to the game.
