Description
Keeping a dairy herd means relentless, hard, tiring work. The cows must be milked twice a day. Feeding and cleaning the yards daily cannot be missed. Calving times mean sleepless nights. But cows are wonderful creatures, each with a character of their own and for the family who have bred and cared for them over many years, the dispersal sale of the herd is a sad day. I am grateful to John and Mary Stenhouse and their family for allowing me to record the film.
