In this session, I breakopen Portal Professor, a marquee Gushu Sheng PuErh sourced from the high-altitude, wild eco-forests of Qian Jia Zhai in the Ailao Mountains of Yunnan. Home to ancient tea trees (including the legendary 2,700-year-old King Tree), this pristine terroir produces some of the most potent, energetically charged leaves in the world.
Harvested in Spring 2025 from estimated 500-year-old mega-Gushu trees, Portal Professor delivers an intoxicating aromatic profile of orange creamsicle, cooked apricots, and dark portokalopita crust, grounded by deep carob and river-rock minerality. But beyond the decadent cup profile lies an undeniably potent, vibrating, and trippy Cha Qi that takes you straight through the portal.
