The stories behind songs can often be fascinating, and the story behind Sylvan Esso’s “Hot Slob” is no exception. In an interview with The Current’s Bill DeVille, Sylvan Esso’s Amelia Meath traces the origin of “Hot Slob” to a comment by Jenn Wasner — she of Flock of Dimes, and also a touring guitarist with Sylvan Esso.
