The 2026 Suzuki GSX-R1000R is finally here, but instead of chasing 210bhp headline figures, Suzuki has gone in a very different direction.
For 2026, the GSX-R1000R gets a heavily revised engine, sharper electronics, MotoGP-derived VVT and subtle aero updates, all wrapped around Suzuki’s endurance racing philosophy. The result is a superbike designed to deliver consistent performance lap after lap, not just win a dyno battle.
In this review, we test the new GSX-R1000R at Monteblanco during a unique endurance-style launch event inspired by the Endurance World Championship. Multiple riders, repeated stints, tyre changes, fuel stops and hours of hard riding revealed what this bike is really about.
