“I think a great deal about the environment when I’m voting. Nothing will have an impact like voting government officials into office who believe that we need to change, and we need to change in such a drastically overdue way…. And I believe in the power of Vietnamese Americans to become environmentally conscious voters.”

The Environmental Voter Project estimates that over 8 million environmentalists did not vote in the 2020 presidential election. Let’s change that in November!

The Redford Center is an independent nonprofit that advances environmental solutions through the power of stories that move. They believe that when we build connections through stories, we eliminate the barriers of political and industry echo chambers, the distance and division of borders, and the gaps between age, experience, and status. Redford Center films create an inclusive pathway of understanding that is guided by the most impacted among us and encourage everyone to use their voice to help create a healthy and just future for all people and the planet.

We hope The Redford Center’s Power the Vote collection of short films, presented in collaboration with Sundance TV, inspires you to become more civically engaged, helps shift perceptions on what it means to be an environmentalist and a voter, and reminds you of the power we have when we come together and take action for the earth.
