I left corporate six years ago to build my own business but in 2026 things looks different. I went from married with no children to now being a stay at home mom building income streams during the hours my daughter is in preschool.
This series documents what that looks like week by week. I share the real process of creating income streams while prioritizing raising my daughter, being a wife and managing our home.
In this update I share what came in this week.
1. IGL Nails was featured in an Essence Magazine We Love Us Shop email and the channel grew by 50 new subscribers.
2. I also received a lead to design a tradeshow booth for Essence Fest. There are three potential design projects developing right now including curriculum design, a tradeshow booth design, and a custom pitch deck.
3. I completed the full 10 week curriculum for my youth entrepreneurship program and started pitching it to schools.
4. I’m also exploring offering homegoing packages for families which include tribute videos, obituary design, and remembrance cards.
I also talk about why building multiple income streams without sacrificing the time with my family matters now more than ever.
