Description
October is RSV Awareness Month, a good time to learn the signs and how to help protect your baby. RSV can cause cold-like symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, or fever. It may be more serious for young babies, so watch for wheezing or trouble breathing. If your baby has trouble breathing, pauses between breaths, or blue or gray lips or fingernails, contact their healthcare provider right away.
Small steps can help reduce the spread: wash hands, clean surfaces, and keep your baby away from people who are sick. Ask your baby’s healthcare provider about RSV prevention options.
