The was among the last songs Otis Redding worked on before he perished in a plane crash days later in December of 1967. Steve Cropper was also a songwriter in addition to playing guitar and managing the song's production. It was released less than a month after his passing, became a huge hit and helped cement his legacy along with many other incredible songs and recordings in his short life.
