🕯 VERSES OF SEVERANCE 🕯
🇺🇦 🇳🇱 Blackened Doom Metal
Verses of Severance is a project by a Ukrainian singer and multi-instrumentalist and two Netherlands-based guitarists. It emerged as a reflection on war and loss, drawing inspiration from the works of Ukrainian poets and writing about the realities of war in the wake of the Russian invasion.
Their riff-driven sound combines structural and rhythmic complexity with the raw, dark emotional core of doom, sludge and black metal.
Debut EP "Serpents of the North":
1. Serpents of the North (7:25)
2. Claws of the Dark (5:44)
3. Chalice (11:09)
These songs will also appear on the band's first full-length, set for early 2027. 🌑
For fans of YOB, early Mastodon, early The Ocean, 90's Neurosis, High On Fire and 1914.
