Yet another one of my signature obscure cartoon commentary reviews! The private toon detective fox Sam Valentino looks at the 1964 (produced in 1963) Paramount Noveltoon short "Whiz Quiz Kid," the sequel to "Ollie the Owl," where the titular stereotypical avian child prodigy is brought onto a kids' quiz show a TV station is hoping no child can answer the questions to, providing a basic lesson in cartoon stereotypes along with also featuring a fox character.
This was also Jack Mercer's final Paramount cartoon he did any writing on, along with decent limited animation by Martin Taras.
Sam also gives us an update on yet another roadblock that should hopefully stop Paramount-Skydance from buying out Warner Bros. and causing the Looney Tunes, MGM and Hanna-Barbera stuff to meet the same fate as Paramount's 1960s cartoons unfortunately have...
