In the stillness of winter, songs for quiet nights and still mornings. Heirloom is music born with the intention of being timeless, following no trends and only pure inspiration. I've stripped everything back to what feels most essential: solo piano and the ethereal choirs that many of you know from my previous work over the years. Just melody, space, and intention.
Three of the five pieces on this EP came to life for me in a moving way. During quiet winter evenings, I sat down and let the music simply flow—unplanned, unedited, pure. On two of the pieces, I used a looper pedal so that I could build in the moment and explore the music in an uninterrupted way. These songs and these moments were captured on video in real time, and I'll be sharing them on my YouTube channel in the days leading up to the release. There's something vulnerable about letting you witness the exact moment these songs were born, but that just feels right for the music of "Heirloom".
