'Rogue One: The Andor Cut' sets out to re-envision 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' as the finale and epilogue of the Andor series, as if it had been made afterwards. Musical themes and leitmotifs from the show will appear, pertinent flashbacks will be inserted, a few continuity errors will be removed, and the tone will be more in line with what we have grown accustomed to from the two incredible seasons. It also includes fan-made deepfake renders of Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia, courtesy of @Shamook, and VFX battle-damage added to Darth Vader's helmet to line up with A New Hope, courtesy of @PixelJoker95.
'The Andor Cut' is in no way attempting to replace or "one-up" the official 'Rogue One' film. On the contrary. It is simply a different approach to it. 'Rogue One A Star Wars Story' is very much a prequel to 'Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope'. 'Andor', of course, is a prequel to 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'. But 'Rogue One: The Andor Cut' is a sequel to 'Andor'. As such, before you watch 'Rogue One: The Andor Cut', you should watch the 'Andor' series. But before you watch the 'Andor' series, you should watch 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'. There are so many moments in 'Andor' that are absolutely made in a way that assumes you have subsequent knowledge of what happens in 'Rogue One'. The original version is the events of Rogue One as seen through Jyn's perspective, and this is through Cassian's.
