Description
This is the full, epic story of Red Dead Redemption 2, edited into a very long movie. Binge it all in one go, or break it into smaller sessions, your call. I recommend watching on an HDR capable device in a dark room if possible, but I've graded the movie to look great in SDR as well. The movie also supports 5.1 surround sound on compatible devices.
If you aren't familiar with my work, I like to take the full story of a game and edit it as if it was a Hollywood movie, focusing on the core story. This isn't just a cutscene compilation as you might see elsewhere. Gameplay is core to the storytelling experience, so I make sure to include as much gameplay is as necessary to understand and enjoy the story, while working hard to make that gameplay as enjoyable to watch as possible.
Part of my process is removing any on screen indicators that usually make it obvious you're watching a game. Thankfully, this game had a no HUD mode. Well, for the most part. Button prompts remained in many places, so I ended up using 340 VFX shots to remove those, which was still a considerable effort. I also made the movie fit the ultrawide aspect ratio that the cutscenes are formatted in, manually reframing the image in every shot of gameplay to look great in this aspect ratio.
This movie unfortunately had a few copyright claims on upload. I've modified the edit around some of the copyrighted songs in this version of the upload in order to maintain monetization, which also means I maintain control over where the ad breaks are.
