Railfanning the North Jersey Coast Line | 1/5 - 4/25/19

Description

NJT commuters on the North Jersey Coast Line.

Interesting notes in the video:
-Poorly made Tri-pod nearly falls over from the gust of wind picked up by the passing commuter. (Also with straight up terrible camerawork.)
-NJT PTC (Positive Train Control) “Sandwich train” consist. (The Multilevel cab car in front of NJT #4615 trailing behind it. 4615 at the time was having PTC installed, In which it couldn’t lead trains until PTC was fully set up and tested. The cab car in front presumably with PTC already installed, covered in for 4615. The last of these PTC “Sandwich trains” on NJT was last seen somewhere around May of 2019.)
-NJT #4603 (One of only two ALP-46 locomotives still retaining a steel bell.)
-NJT #4508 (Shown before receiving the “Pages from Black History” wrap in 2024.)
-Camerawork is a bit botchy. (The usual with older videos at this point.)
